Winter 2025/26 · 4 destinations compared

Four Carpathian bases, measured against the same columns.

Conditions below were transcribed from resort lift offices on 12 January 2026. Transfer times are road estimates from Lviv, not timetable promises. Lodging figures are per-person nightly ranges across the band we book, itemised before any total.

Dossier proofs

Four resorts, four trade-offs

Bukovel

Ivano-Frankivsk oblast · 920 m to 1,372 m

Sixteen lifts and 68 km of marked runs, with snowmaking on the lower half. The central gondola loads 2,000 people an hour; Saturday queues reach 25 to 40 minutes after 10:00.

Best for
Mixed-ability groups that want one base village and no car.
Avoid if
Your day depends on a short queue at the main gondola.

Dragobrat

Zakarpattia · 1,360 m base

Road access ends at Yasinya; the last 12 km run by 4x4 shuttle on fixed 08:00 and 16:00 departures. Off-piste terrain is patrolled informally only.

Best for
Skiers who trade a fixed transfer timetable for high, late-holding snow.
Avoid if
You want a beginner slope beside the lodging in week one.

Slavske

Lviv oblast · 600 m to 850 m

Twelve drag lifts, and a rail station 400 m from the lower slope with Lviv trains at 2h10. Cover below 800 m thins during mild spells.

Best for
Car-free day trips from Lviv with a short walk to the lifts.
Avoid if
You book February cover below 800 m without checking the snow report.

Pylypets

Zakarpattia · 700 m to 1,200 m

Three lifts serve 20 km of runs, and most guesthouses sit within 400 m of the base station. Only one run climbs above 1,100 m.

Best for
Families who want a short walk from bed to the first lift.
Avoid if
You need a wide choice of long advanced runs.

Decision guide

Pick a resort by constraint, not by ranking

Five branches cover most enquiries we handle. Each line names the condition first and the trade-off second, so you can rule a destination out before reading its dossier. Attribute values come from the comparison matrix.

  1. Choose Bukovel if you want the widest linked lift network in this comparison.

Trade-off: the longest road transfer from Lviv among the large resorts, roughly four hours, and the highest lodging band per night.

  2. Choose Dragobrat if snow reliability matters more than lift comfort.

Trade-off: access runs by mountain road or chair from Yasinya, and the lift stock is older with fewer detachable chairs.

  3. Choose Slavske if you arrive by train and want a short station transfer.

Trade-off: modest vertical drop, and the lower slopes are cut up by midday on peak dates.

  4. Choose Pylypets or Izky if you are booking a first week on snow with children.

Trade-off: beginner terrain is limited at peak dates, so lessons and rentals need reserving before arrival.

  5. Choose Krasiya if you want a quiet weekday and a short drive from Uzhhorod.

Trade-off: fewer groomed runs and a fixed shuttle timetable that sets your day.

Rules we apply before naming a destination

  • Snow figures carry a date and a source. Undated claims are discarded, and each table closes with the date its numbers were transcribed.
  • Prices are built up per person. Every quote ends in a total with a separate not-included list, never a headline figure alone.
  • Transfer times are road hours from Lviv. Straight-line distance is not used, because mountain roads do not follow it.
  • Comparisons stay qualified. We write the shortest road transfer in this group, not a claim that holds everywhere.

Every quote is a sum, not a slogan

Each enquiry returns a line-by-line build-up that ends in a total per person, plus a separate list of what the total does not cover. The worked example below is one adult, seven nights in Bukovel, two sharing, mid-January.

Not included in the total

  • Return flights to Lviv
  • Travel and medical insurance
  • Ski school, guiding and off-piste days
  • Lunches, drinks and any meal outside half board
  • Resort tourist tax, collected locally at check-in
  • Single-occupancy supplement, quoted separately

How the fee works

The coordination fee is 35 EUR per person and holds its own row in every quote. No commission is folded into the accommodation or lift price, and no rate is padded to hide it.

Our role in the booking

musicstgream.com LLC is a booking coordinator. We do not operate any lift, property or transfer vehicle and we are not the organiser of the travel service. Contracts for lodging, passes and transport are concluded with the suppliers named in your quote, under their terms.

Enquiries

Send the week you are weighing up

Tell us which resort is still in the running and the week you have in mind. We reply with the lodging bands, road transfer timings and lift office figures that apply to that week, and we name anything the dossier could not confirm at the time of writing.

Every number we send is dated and attributed to the office that published it. Where no figure exists, we say so instead of estimating one.
